GSA operates a variety of Twitter and Facebook accounts, and a handful of different initiatives such as howto.gov and challenge.gov. Calculating and reporting the effectiveness of these assorted campaigns was becoming labor intensive and diverting resources away from campaign operations.
GSA subscribed to OhMyGov’s Media Analytics platform to aid in automating and streamlining the reporting process.
GSA now receives automated calculations of more than 12 key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the health and growth of the agency’s communications efforts, along with continuous news monitoring that enables public affairs and new media staff to quickly learn of media outlets covering GSA events and initiatives. The compounded time savings from using OhMyGovʼs Media Analytics now permits GSA staff to devote more time to ensuring the success of their campaigns and to communicating important information to agency customers and stakeholders. The platformʼs advanced features enable GSA to benchmark its work externally against other government agencies and internally among its various divisions, as well as measure message uptake by fellow federal agencies, a key customer of GSA.
